Palawan State University (PSU) has its unassuming beginnings as an instructor preparing establishment known as Palawan Teacher's College (PTC). The school was established on June 19, 1965 through RA 4303 and has begun working since March 2, 1972. In 1984, PTC was perceived as Palawan State College by prudence of Batas Pambansa 797 which approved the school to offer other college degrees in Arts, Sciences and Technology. The change into a state college came 10 years after the fact in November 12, 1994, the Palawan State University rose as the head foundation of higher learning in the territory of Palawan, with more than 19,000 understudies and just about 1000 workforce and staff individuals. The Palawan State University, the principal University in Region IV, has 19 grounds everywhere throughout the territory. The principle grounds arranged in Tiniguiban, Puerto Princesa City is sprawled on a 68-hectare site where the Central organization and Executive Offices, undergrad and graduate universities, and the research facility secondary school are found. The Laboratory Elementary School and the School of Law are housed in structures at the Manalo Campus, Puerto Princesa City. The principle grounds has eight schools (College of Arts and Humanities, College of Business and Accountancy, College of Hospitality Management and Tourism, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, College of Teacher Education, College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology, College of Criminal Justice Education, and College of Sciences) built up to satisfy the college's four-fold capacity of direction, augmentation, and generation. Without further ado, PSU is under the stewardship of its leader, Dr. Jeter S. Sespene.
